The normal intake for the program is semester 2 (July).

The program consists of a selection of 12 and 24 credit point value courses, covering Histology, Diagnostic Microbiology, Clinical Immunology, Biochemistry, Anatomical Pathology, Haematology and Transfusion Science, Point of Care Patient Testing, Advanced Medical Informatics and Laboratory Management, Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics, Integrative Pathology, Viruses and Infections, as well as a research project or Professional Practice – Laboratory Medicine, in their final year.
